I appreciate you stopping by for a visit, and I hope that you browse it a bit and enjoy what you see. So, since this part is about me, I guess I should tell you a little bit about myself.
I was born in a small town in Alabama called Enterprise. I lived there with my mom, stepdad, and two older sisters until I was twelve years old. In 1997, the entire family relocated to Kokomo, Indiana where I currently reside. And no, the town is nothing like the Beach Boys song. Our reason for moving was because my stepdad was originally from Indiana, and he wanted to be closer to his family. The move was actually beneficial in a lot of ways, even though I still miss Alabama.
And just because I no longer live in the south, doesn’t mean I’m not a southern girl at heart. I still love to snack on boiled peanuts, and I do love grits—but only with butter, and salt and pepper.
Now, I currently work as a switchboard operator at a local hospital. During my spare time I thoroughly enjoy reading lots of books, and trying my hand at writing the stories in my head. I’ve had a love affair with books since I was a small child, and I even published my first young adult book when I was in my early twenties. I love spending time with my friends, whether in person or online, and family. I’m not married, nor do I have any children, but I do have a lot of nieces and nephews I love dearly.
I am also the proud mom of my fur-baby, Delilah. She was an unexpected addition to my household, and now I can’t imagine my life without her in it. Though, I can understand why people say Border Collies are the most hyperactive breed of dog—because it’s true!
Thank you, again, for stopping by. And if you’ve read any of my books, I thoroughly appreciate it. If you’re a new reader and are deciding to give my work a chance, then I sincerely hope you enjoy it.
